SGT observes Ramadan tradition with local business community
The UAE is home to a rich cultural heritage and the nation is one in observing the holy month of Ramadan. Devotees commemorate the first revelation of the Quran
to Prophet Muhammad during this period and fasting is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam, where the faithful spend Ramadan through fasting and praying. Thereafter, the community gathers for Iftar to break their fast.
SGT Group has observed the Ramadan tradition together with fellow business associates in Dubai. SGT CEO Hamid Dizji attended an iftar hosted by a local company where hundreds turned up to break their fast. “Muslims are called upon to take this season to reflect and evaluate their lives and seek guidance through the Islamic belief and practices. SGT is more than happy to spend time with our business colleagues and take this opportunity to be united and celebrate the true spirit of Ramadan,” shares Dizji.
During the iftar event, Dizji has met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, CEO and chairman of The Emirates Group and Chairman of Dubai World. Both CEOs have exchanged greetings and congratulated one another for the auspicious moment.
