any other CEOs around the world were estimating that the economic situation in
2013
will be a repeat performance of 2012 but one encouraging aspect is that at
present, all sectors are either recovering or have ceased making a downside turn.
However, maintaining this stability entails that decision makers in any organization must
possess a strong sense of judgment in tackling these major moves. This is where experience
plays a key role in every business leader’s agenda.
This year, SGT Commodities will be the flagship business unit for the group. The strength
of this division has contributed to an increase of around 7% in SGT’s annual turnover in
2012.
We are positive that this trend will continue this year, as we put more focus into ex-
panding operations of this unit.
This growth was brought about by careful planning and dedicated efforts to ensure that
every threat is turned into a golden opportunity and deliver results. We have to recognize
areas in our business which will yield better returns and take advantage of these prospects.
In parallel, we always have to look out for new avenues to capitalize on, in order to improve
our business.

Physique Productions expands its TV studios
P
hysique Productions has completed
the construction of its new produc-
tion offices, as well as the addition of
an audio facility adjacent to its main TV
studios in Dubai, UAE.
The complex originally consisted of two
studios. Studio 1 is the primary space used
for filming with an area of 2,712 square
feet. This studio is fully fitted with lights,
sound-proofed walls and features an audi-
ence space that can seat around 260 people.
Studio 2 is a gym studio equipped with
complete workout machines. This feature

makes the complex unique as it is the only
facility in Dubai that features a gym studio
specifically designed to provide a space to
shoot exercise segments and programs.
The new production offices cover an area
of 2,000 square feet and the fittings are all
made of steel and glass. This space will be
used to house the production team, as well
as provide a suitable environment for pre
and post production activities.
With Physique TV continuously
acquiring international shows, the need
for an appropriate recording and dubbing
studio became apparent. The construction
of this new audio facility started during
the last quarter of 2012 and top of the line
equipment were brought in to make sure
that the sound studio will meet professional
industry standards.
With the expansion completed, Physique
Productions is now expecting that it will
be ready to work together with third-party
producers to employ the use of its facilities.
